We are so proud of our very own Alice Smith for winning the Smith Mountain Lake Chamber of Commerce’s “Ambassador of the Year” award! Alice is our main agent at our Rocky Mount office and is driven to find her clients the best coverage that fits their needs at a fair premium. In addition, as a Franklin County native, she takes pride in being active in our local community! Just one of the many things we admire about Alice!
The “Ambassador of the Year” is an award given out by the Smith Mountain Lake Chamber of Commerce. Voted on by fellow ambassadors, the award is given to the person who they feel best represented the chamber that year. To win an award voted on by your peers is an incredible accomplishment!
With nearly 700 members, the SML chamber provides information and support to the lake’s growing business community. As an ambassador, Alice serves as a liaison between Chamber members and the Directors. This gives the members someone they can reach out to directly when they have a question or need help promoting their business.
Alice and her husband Stanley live in Glade Hill and are incredibly proud of their son Dakota, who is currently a student at Radford University. When not conquering your insurance needs and winning “Ambassador of the Year” awards, Alice can be found running through Rocky Mount, competing in a variety of obstacle course races or simply relaxing at home with a good book, cup of coffee and her basset hound Barney.
