Our Service Manager, Camden’s dad has been making these apple dumplings for as long as he can remember. They are so good and addicting, that his family calls them “crack apples”!
Apple Dumpling
Ingredients:
- 2 whole granny smith apples
- 2 cans (8 oz Cans) of Crescent Rolls (pillsbury regular is best)
- 2 sticks of butter (salted or unsalted either works)
- 1.5 cups of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- Cinnamon to taste
- 1 12oz can of Mountain Dew
Apple Dumpling Instructions:
- Core apples and slice so there is once slice per crescent roll. Remove skin on apple for best results
- Roll apple slice into the crescent roll and place in a 9×13 buttered pan
- Melt the butter and slowly add the sugar while lightly stirring.
- Add Vanilla to the butter/sugar mixture and stir till combined.
- Pour mixture over the rolls in the pan
- Sprinkle cinnamon on the top
- Right before going in the oven pour the Mountain Dew around the edges of the pan
- Bake at 350 for 40 min
- Enjoy (best with vanilla bean ice cream)
- Go to the gym! 🙂
